RECAP Palm Beach Single Family Office Forum: Four Days That Redefined the Future of Wealth, Legacy, and Strategy

March 24-25-26-27, 2025 | Hosted by Angelo Robles in Collaboration With Bryant Hayward & Alexander Galambos

Colony Hotel, Palm Beach

When over 60 real single family offices gather—internationally and domestically—in one of the most iconic destinations in the world, something extraordinary happens. That’s exactly what unfolded over four unforgettable days at the Angelo Robles’s Palm Beach Single Family Office Forum, where strategy met sophistication, intelligence met intimacy, and elite families came together to shape the future.

From our first moment to the final toast, this was not a “conference”—it was a transformational experience.

DAY 1: The Elegant Prelude

We began as all great forums should—with style, warmth, and exclusivity.

Our welcome reception took place on legendary Worth Avenue, graciously hosted at Churchill, where the ambiance was as exceptional as the company. The setting? Refined. The energy? Electric. Food, cocktails, cigars—and the unmistakable feel of peers reconnecting and forging new alliances. This wasn’t just a social—it was the calm before the intellectual storm.

DAY 2: Power, AI, and the Future of Family Wealth

We kicked off programming in the afternoon with Angelo Robles’s signature research overview—spanning the convergence of geopolitics, macroeconomics, and artificial intelligence, and how these disruptive forces are reshaping the responsibilities and risks facing modern family offices.

Then came “The Family Office Fixer”: Daniel Zamora, Esq., in an interactive session that served as a wake-up call. His message was clear: Wealth doesn’t die. It transforms. And only those positioned with foresight and structure will endure.

Cybersecurity and AI then took center stage with Dr. Chase Cunningham, Retired Navy Chief Cryptologist, who delivered a stunning and sobering look at what’s next in U.S.-China relations, data integrity, and family office vulnerabilities in a world of rising digital warfare.

Bryant Hayward’s single family office peer session was a show-stopper. Seven real single family offices openly shared what’s working, what’s failing, and what they’re betting on next—from the riskiest sectors to their most recent investments. Candid. Raw. Insightful. You had to be there.

We closed with the brilliance of Jordi Visser, a visionary investor whose clarity around AI and Bitcoin stunned the room. He doesn’t just talk trends—he delivers strategy. This was investment insight you can’t Google, from someone who’s lived it.

Evening dinners? Curated. Private. Unforgettable. Iconic Palm Beach settings, intimate groups, high-level conversations.

DAY 3: Family, Fortunes, and Financial Reckoning

We opened with the legendary John Messervey, who distilled decades of insights from over 10,000 family interviews into a powerful narrative on family behavior, unity, and governance. His framework for continuity is a masterclass every family must hear.

Then came Andrew Brenton, one of the world’s top long-only asset managers, on “The Great Market Reckoning: Who Wins and Who Loses?” As U.S. debt, global de-dollarization, and market distortion escalate, his thesis sparked debate and real-time reactions from the audience.

Next? We turned to our single family offices again, over 10 single family offices participated in answering: “What happens if no one wants U.S. debt?” “If China uses it as leverage?” “If the dollar breaks?” The answers were illuminating—and in many cases, alarming.

We dove into the “hard stuff”:

  •  Gold vs. Bitcoin vs. Industrial Real Estate
  •  Safe asset classes in a crash
  •  How to structure for liquidity without losing control
  •  Where real families are placing real bets

We shifted gears with Jason Isaacson of IP Capital Partners, who delivered a masterful overview of industrial real estate investing—breaking down the nuanced dynamics of this often-overlooked but quietly dominant asset class. From infrastructure demand to tenant shifts, Jason unpacked why industrial is becoming the backbone of hard-asset strategies for serious families.

Then, in a true global turn, Jonny Haycock flew in from Switzerland to represent dynastic family business VON GREYERZ, offering an eye-opening conversation on owning physical gold—not ETFs or paper promises, but real, sovereign-grade metal. His deep dive into the macroeconomic case for gold, paired with the storage, access, and jurisdictional risks that many families overlook, hit hard and added major weight to the forum’s ongoing theme of resilience in uncertain times.

Angelo Robles returned to lead another standout single family office peer session, where 8+ real families went on record to answer the tough questions:

  • “If you could only hold 3 asset classes in the next crash, what would they be?”

  • “What actually feels safe right now?”

The responses were unfiltered, diverse, and deeply instructive—ranging from conviction in cash-flowing real estate to gold, AI-linked equities, Bitcoin, farmland, and more. This wasn’t theory. This was strategy in the real world.

Lunch was intentionally unscripted—no speakers, no panels—just exceptional cuisine and meaningful conversation in a stunning open-air Palm Beach setting. The atmosphere was relaxed, the connections were real, and the backdrop couldn’t have been more perfect.

After lunch single family office CEO Randy Abeles delivered a compelling session on the rise of digital-first family offices, exploring how remote models, lean teams, and smart workflows are reshaping traditional office structures. Immediately following, single family office executive Aaron Hatton took the stage to dive into building proprietary tech stacks—sharing firsthand how his family office is engineering custom solutions to drive efficiency, culture, and control. These two back-to-back sessions offered a powerful one-two punch of strategy and execution for any family office looking to scale with precision.

Coming in from Germany entrepreneur and family principal Philip Assmus shook things up with his “industrialized venture” thesis. Venture isn’t dead—it’s just been doing it wrong. His family office-backed approach to de-risking early-stage creation is the future.

John Huss of AQR then gave families the blueprint on how to monetize low-basis equity without triggering massive tax consequences. Cutting-edge strategy, clearly delivered.

We closed with a rapid-fire session featuring two family principals on 10X investments—crypto, AI, robotics, art, liquid venture—they named actual names and investments not just themes, and how today’s outliers may be tomorrow’s foundation assets!

The big day concluded with an exceptional outdoor cocktail reception at the iconic Colony Hotel—an elegant finale set against the backdrop of swaying palms, golden light, and the unmistakable charm of Palm Beach.

DAY 4: Sunshine, Shark Tank, and the Emotional Core of Legacy

Set at a breathtaking private waterfront estate, Day 4 delivered a powerful finale—both reflective and forward-looking. It was the exhale after an extraordinary week of intensity, connection, and insight. The setting was serene, the conversations deep, and the energy unmistakably alive with purpose.

Family Office Principal and AI Thought Leader Carey Levine delivered one of the most emotional, impactful talks of the forum. His journey with his father, venture capital, and the purpose behind his AI investments left a mark on everyone present.

Aman Verjee opened the vault on early-stage investing. Then, without warning, we transitioned into a high-stakes, high-energy “Shark Tank”-style pitch session judged by some of our top participants. Real companies. Real feedback. No fluff.

We wrapped with focused insights on data center investments, Bitcoin’s next cycle, and what “digital Switzerland” really means.

And then… we celebrated—in true Palm Beach style.

An unforgettable tiki bar poolside reception, set right on the water, brought the Forum to a perfect close. With Espresso Martinis expertly crafted by Josh Wilbur of Steeped Coffee, and a top-shelf tequila tasting led by Jake Mellor of Tequila Masters Solutions, the atmosphere was vibrant and elevated.

As the sun dipped behind the palms, final toasts were shared, bold conversations carried on, and the mood turned electric with the unmistakable buzz of something rare—a gathering that truly mattered.

What Set This Forum Apart: A Gathering of Families, for Families

The Palm Beach Single Family Office Forum wasn’t a quick fly-in, fly-out event. It was a four-day immersive experience, crafted intentionally to foster trust, candor, and lasting relationships among real families and their single family offices.

This wasn’t sponsor-driven. It wasn’t a speaker showcase. It was something rarer: a curated, extended experience built around real conversations, real strategies, and real people navigating real challenges at the highest level of wealth and responsibility.

Here’s what made it extraordinary:

✅ Over 60 Verified Single Family Offices — not consultants, not service providers—actual families and principals in the room. No noise. No fluff. Just serious people doing serious work.

✅ Peer-Led Engagement — multiple sessions where families spoke to families, sharing investment decisions, structuring strategies, succession planning insights, and lessons from both wins and losses.

✅ More Families Than “Thought Leaders” — the ratio was intentional. This wasn’t about theory. It was about lived experience, tested models, and forward-looking strategy.

✅ World-Class Settings — from Worth Avenue to private waterfront estates, every moment was held in iconic, carefully chosen Palm Beach locations that elevated the experience without distracting from its purpose.

✅ VERY Few Sponsored Speakers — every voice on stage was chosen for substance, not sponsorship. That’s rare. That’s intentional.

This wasn’t a conference. It was a movement.

A four-day immersion into the minds, hearts, and strategies of the world’s most serious families—not scripted, and never surface-level. This was about showing up, going deep, and building what most only talk about: a future-proof family office model grounded in clarity, connection, and continuity.

For those who were there, one thing was clear:

This is where the real conversations happen. This is where families rise. This is where the next era of wealth is being defined.
